Job summary

Equans Sci-Tech is recruiting a Project Buyer to join the Procurement team based in Didsbury, Manchester. You will deliver expert procurement for engineering construction projects, securing best-value solutions while driving sustainability and risk management.

As a key member, you will manage sub-contractors and material/equipment packages, align with design teams and senior project management, and influence supply chain strategies across UK data centre initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven strategic procurement experience on construction projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and packages in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of Construction project life cycle (RIBA stages).
• Accredited degree or equivalent, e.g. CIPS.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of all packages for allocated Engineering Construction Projects in line with procurement strategy.
• Provide professional procurement of sub-contractors and materials (OEM) for strategic trades including project management.
• Coordinate with stakeholders from Operations to Design Team and engage with Senior Project management.
• Involve in tender, preconstruction, contract negotiations and construction stages.
• Utilise experience in M&E building services to deliver cost-effective procurement solutions balancing cost, quality and sustainability.
• Monitor supply chain performance, compliance, workload and financial status to protect the company.
