Job summary

Era4 seeks a hands-on Data Centre Network Engineer to support high-performance networking underpinning its AI infrastructure platform in the UK. You will ensure reliable GPU compute, storage, and services with collaboration across platform, infrastructure and AI teams.

Focus areas include data centre fabrics, BGP/OSPF routing, automation using Python/Ansible/T Terraform, and comprehensive monitoring. You will help scale and secure connections while creating clear documentation for handover.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, deploying and supporting enterprise or data centre networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching (BGP/OSPF) and EVPN/VXLAN leaf-spine.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper or similar platforms.
• Proficient in network automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and security segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot data centre networking environments.
• Support routing and switching across BGP, OSPF, VLANs and VRFs.
• Work with leaf-spine and EVPN/VXLAN architectures.
• Collaborate with platform and infra teams to enable secure, scalable connectivity.
• Implement and support network automation with Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Contribute to monitoring, observability, and incident response.
• Document configurations, processes, and changes for handover.
