Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction at an active data center site. You will coordinate trades, keep switchgear, UPS, and CRAH/CRAC installations on schedule and to spec, and pre-empt clashes before they become delays.

Work closely with the Project Director and commissioning team to ensure field installs align with turnover requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in MEP construction; 3+ years in superintendent or lead role.
• Experience running MEP scopes on large-scale industrial or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV electrical systems, switchgear, UPS, CRAH/CRAC.
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, P&IDs, and MEP specs.
• OSHA 30 certification; proven subcontractor management across trades.
• Excellent communication with project leadership and teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day MEP construction activities (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
• Coordinate and direct MEP subcontractors; ensure schedule and quality.
• Review compliance with single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and specs in field.
• Enforce safety standards, including LOTO procedures.
• Coordinate with commissioning team to prepare systems for IST/FPTs.
• Manage trade sequencing to avoid clashes across trades and controls.
• Maintain daily logs; flag delays, material issues, or risks early.
• Inspect ongoing work for adherence to codes and OPR/BOD requirements.
• Resolve field conflicts; escalate design/engineering input when needed.
• Support QC inspections and punch list closure for MEP scopes.
• Assist project leadership with schedule updates and manpower planning.
