Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Mechanical / Electrical Engineer (InfraOps DCEO) to operate and maintain critical data centre systems in Bracknell. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, generator and life-safety equipment to ensure high uptime and safety.

Join a hands-on team, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot incidents, and drive efficiency through CMMS workflows while adhering to safety and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in data center engineering or electrical/mechanical maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, PDU/ATS replacements).
• Provide support to Data Centre Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during work.
• Take daily readings of mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Utilize CMMS to manage workflows and inventory.
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or maintenance.
• Respond to off-hour emergency calls as part of on-call rotation.
