Job summary

Amazon is seeking a collaborative Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to join its InfraOps DCEO team. This on-site role focuses on operating and maintaining critical electrical and mechanical equipment within AWS data centres to ensure 99.999% uptime.

You will work with diesel generators, switchgears, UPS, PDU, AHU, pumps, VFDs, and building automation systems while driving cost efficiency. The position emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, routine preventative maintenance, and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with electrical/mechanical systems in data centres is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in AWS data centres.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs).
• Support Data Centre Operations technicians.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during work.
