Job summary

Purely Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Data Cabling Engineer for our client in Swindon to support installation and planning across sites. The role involves reading drawings, installing Cat5/5e/6 and Fibre cabling, terminating on patch panels, and testing with Fluke tools.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in telecom installations, knowledge of CCTV/door access is a plus, and a willingness to travel nationwide. CSCS and a driving license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in installation of telecommunications.
• Experience with installation of structured cabling systems.
• Basic Fluke testing of copper Cat5/6 and fibre.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and overtime.
• Willingness to travel and stay away across the UK.
• CSCS (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read construction drawings, diagrams, scopes and specs.
• Install network and structured cabling (Cat5/5e/6 & Fibre).
• Terminate cables on patch panels and modules.
• Test networks using Fluke testers.
• Maintain quality standards and meet timelines.
