The opportunity

We are seeking a Data Business Analyst to join our team and drive improvements in our redemption products. Reporting to a Data Product Owner, you will play a key role in developing and optimising data products within our Core Data domain. Collaborating closely with the product owner, data engineers, data modellers, and key stakeholders, you will gather and prioritise business requirements, translating them into actionable technical specifications for your team. Your work will focus on enhancing data quality and usability through analysis, modelling, and thorough documentation, including maintaining data catalogues and lineage. Additionally, you will conduct testing, troubleshoot data issues, and ensure governance standards are met, supporting the delivery of reliable and high-performing data products.

What you’ll get up to

In this role, you will document and prioritise business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and working closely with data engineers and modellers to ensure successful implementation. You will analyse business processes, assess data quality, and identify opportunities to improve data reliability. Collaborating with data stewards, you will support data governance objectives and maintain key documentation, including a data catalogue and lineage. Additionally, you will monitor data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure features meet business requirements.

What we need from you

• Strong data analysis skills with advanced SQL expertise.

• Familiarity with data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake).

• Understanding of data quality best practices and governance.

• Ability to bridge technical and business requirements effectively.

• Problem-solving mindset and analytical prowess.

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

The role has a blended base, between our Central London office and home. We trust you to make the right decision about the type of work that is best done in each location. We expect you’ll achieve a 50/50 split between the two and there may be times where you’ll want to visit our other locations to tell their stories, too (fully reimbursed).
