Job summary

CRA Legal in Sheffield is seeking a Litigation Executive to manage data breach claims from inception to settlement or trial. The role involves drafting, negotiating and case management within a busy litigation team.

You will work closely with colleagues across the department, handling data breach and related consumer matters while progressing matters efficiently and in line with court timetables. A proactive, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience handling litigated data breach, civil litigation or consumer claims.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and case management skills.
• Confidence managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and client care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigated data breach claims from inception to settlement or trial.
• Draft pre-action correspondence, court documents and other legal papers.
• Assess liability, quantum and prospects of success to guide strategy.
• Instruct counsel and experts; advise clients throughout proceedings.
• Review breach notifications and ICO findings for case development.
• Negotiate settlements and ensure deadlines and court timetables are met.
