Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Data Architect in London, offering a hybrid pattern (London-based with one day on-site per week). You will define and own enterprise data architecture, lead MDM initiatives and governance, and shape the migration path from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric to enable trusted data foundations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Master Data Management and Golden Record strategies.
• Depth in data governance, stewardship and data quality frameworks.
• Extensive experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Knowledge of enterprise data domains and domain-driven architecture.
• Experience designing Gold Layer and semantic models for reporting and analytics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or related architecture.
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise data architecture across multiple business domains.
• Lead the design and implementation of MDM and Golden Record strategies.
• Establish data governance, stewardship and data quality frameworks.
• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Develop and optimise Gold Layer models for reporting and analytics.
• Create semantic models supporting enterprise reporting and financial decisions.
• Shape target-state architecture for migration from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
• Drive data cataloguing, metadata management and lineage initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand strategic data requirements.
• Serve as go-to Data Architect for standards and roadmap development.
