Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a data engineer to design and implement scalable cloud-based data platforms with a focus on Snowflake and modern ELT architectures in AWS.

You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to design reliable data solutions, optimize data platforms, and support analytics ecosystems throughout the project lifecycle from PoCs to production implementation.

Proficiency in SQL and Python, data modeling, and orchestration tools like Airflow or MWAA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing modern data platforms and cloud-based data warehouse solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including data modeling, performance optimization, and analytics workloads.
• Experience designing and building ELT pipelines using dbt, SQL, and modern data engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and support implementation of scalable data platforms and analytics solutions using Snowflake and AWS services.
• Design, develop, and optimize ELT pipelines and data transformation workflows using dbt and SQL.
• Define data models, data warehouse architectures, and source-to-target mappings to support analytics and reporting workloads.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes across cloud-based data platforms.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to data platform evolution, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and maintainability through automated testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, data models, and technical design artifacts.
• Participate throughout the full project lifecycle, from discovery and PoCs to production implementation.
