Fimatix are a leading Software Consultancy who specialise in working with HM Government.One of our HM Government clients has tasked us to recruit a Data Architect on a contract basis.This contract role is INSIDE IR35 and requires you to have current SC Clearance.

We are currently seeking an Data Architect at Senior Manager level to join our team who has a strong specialism in data modelling, designs and migration.. The candidate will have at least 5+ years’ experience leading architecture engagements and 3+ years’ experience designing complex data architectures within a run environment. This role requires a high level of stakeholder management, the ability to translate a set of data requirements into principles, capabilities and a coherent architecture.

The position offers a mix of remote and onsite working in London.

Accountable

• Ownership of data designs including operational microservice databases and the evolving reporting database
• Ownership of data architecture artifacts in Confluence and SharePoint
• Definition and maintenance of the project data standards
• Ownership of the Data Migration strategy
• Alignment of project data architecture with PPPT data management guidelines

Responsible

• Maintenance of all data designs in SparxEA
• Providing advice to project team on data design usage.
• Reviewing design change requests to models / microservice design
• Guidance and policing of data design standards
• Guidance on the use of the Functional and Data Access Controls
• Guidance on using Reference Data and Master Data
• Design support and oversight of overall technical approach of data migration
• Presenting at key governance forums including Data and Information Steering Committee, Technical Design Authority and Data Design Authority
• Maintaining active Jira tickets and backlog of work
• Agreeing prioritisation of work with architecture team Delivery Manager (Hermes team)
• Coordination of data protection questions with Data and Identity directorate
• Project administrator for MAPPS Repository in SparxEA
• Collaboration with wider Architect team on all designs from a data perspective
• Attendance at project Senior Management team meetings (Athena team)
• Attendance at National Data Controllers meeting
• Attendance at multi-disciplinary review meetings to discuss data usage within story reviews
• Planning and dependency management tasks that impact data management
• Attendance at architecture face to face workshops
• Attendance at MAPPS full team sprint planning workshops

Informed

• Utilize artifacts and project resources to inform designs, including ViSOR documentation, user research, product feature descriptions and themes
• Explore external publications on MAPPA and other law enforcement resources to aid understanding of the problem space
• Explore external publications on data protection guidance
• Explore technical resources for industry recognized design patterns and tools
