Job summary

Quantum in London is seeking a Data Architect to define the design principles for QiCore, our data warehouse, and to ensure all builds conform to them. You will own QiCore's architecture, integrate acquired businesses, and set foundations for our AI plans.

You will prototype pipelines, lead a small data engineering team, and collaborate with Tech, Analytics and commercial teams to align data design with business and AI goals.

Qualifications

• Enterprise data architecture experience with a warehouse or lakehouse in production.
• Hands-on data engineering: proficient in SQL and Python.
• Strong understanding of PII, data privacy, governance and access controls.
• Deep knowledge of big data platforms, ETL/ELT patterns and data governance.
• Experience consolidating acquired businesses into a single data model.
• Ability to explain design trade-offs to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Thrives in a fast-paced team environment with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the target architecture for QiCore and act as design authority for every build.
• Establish approaches to identity, consent, retention and access controls with security and governance teams.
• Lead migration of Rewards into the warehouse and single customer view for future acquisitions.
• Define modelling, governance and data quality standards and review against them.
• Prototype pipelines, unblock engineers, and lead a small data engineering team.
• Translate business needs into data design for AI ambitions with Tech, Analytics and commercial teams.
