Job summary

AQA is seeking a Data Architect to help build our data architecture capability within Assessment Technology. This permanent role offers hybrid working with two days per week in the office, based in Manchester or Milton Keynes.

You will join a growing data architecture team, translating business needs into data architecture direction and governance, while aligning with the overall data strategy across complex assessment systems.

Qualifications

• Computing degree or equivalent level of business computing experience and/or professional accreditation (BCS).
• Experience in managing and understanding domain level data models.
• Experience in managing data across products and microservice based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Create and shape data architecture artefacts, including data models, data dictionaries and data flow diagrams.
• Transl ate business capabilities into practical data requirements for delivery teams and explain complex data decisions clearly.
• Support data strategy and governance by contributing to standards, policies and procedures, while helping teams make secure, consistent and well-informed data decisions.
