Job summary

Jefferson Frank is partnering with a private equity-backed organisation in the UK undergoing a major data transformation. You will own the enterprise data platform strategy and design, operating with autonomy and visibility to senior leadership in a greenfield environment.

Lead the implementation of a modern Lakehouse and Data Warehouse using Microsoft Fabric OneLake and Databricks, shaping data governance, security, and scalable data products across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise data warehouse architecture and design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Unity Catalog and Delta Lake.
• Strong PySpark/SQL skills for data transformation.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture.
• Experience with Star Schema and Data Vault modelling.
• Expertise in data governance and access security.

Responsibilities

We're partnering with a highly successful, private equity‑backed organisation that is embarking on a major data transformation journey.

The business has recognised data as a strategic asset and has recently invested in leadership and technology to create a modern, enterprise‑wide data capability. As part of this greenfield transformation, they're looking for an experienced Data Architect to take ownership of the organisation's data platform strategy and design.

This is a role offering autonomy, visibility with senior stakeholders and the chance to make a lasting impact across the entire business.

As the Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing the enterprise data platform, creating a scalable and secure foundation for reporting, analytics, AI, and future innovation.

Working closely with executive stakeholders and technology leadership, you'll define the architectural vision while driving the implementation of a modern Lakehouse and Data Warehouse environment built on Microsoft and Databricks technologies.
