Job summary

La Fosse is seeking an experienced Data Architect to shape enterprise data landscapes for a leading UK organisation undergoing data transformation. You will design data platforms, governance, and analytics capabilities to enable informed decision-making.

You will collaborate with executive stakeholders, architects, engineers, and partners to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, leveraging cloud tech such as Azure, AWS, GCP and Databricks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing enterprise data architectures and modern analytics platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Databricks.
• Experience with data governance, data quality and architecture best practice.
• Experience designing data warehouses, semantic models and reporting solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external delivery partners.
• Balanced approach to technical excellence with commercial priorities.
• Familiarity with BI visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of MDM and data quality initiatives.
• Experience developing enterprise data strategies and technology roadmaps.

The Role

As a Data Architect, you'll work across business and technology teams to define data architecture, shape reporting and analytics solutions, and establish best practice across the organisation. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, cost-effective data solutions while influencing long-term data strategy and governance.

You'll engage with executive stakeholders, architects, engineers, analysts and third-party partners to ensure data platforms enable informed decision‑making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-wide data architecture and target‑state data platforms.

About You

You'll be an experienced Data Architect or Lead Data Engineer with a strong background delivering enterprise reporting, analytics and data platform solutions in complex environments.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience designing enterprise data architectures and modern analytics platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data technologies including Azure, AWS, GCP and Databricks.
• Experience with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Power BI and AWS Glue.
• A solid understanding of data governance, data quality and architecture best practice.
• Experience designing data warehouses, semantic models and reporting solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams and external delivery partners.
• A pragmatic approach to balancing technical excellence with commercial and business priorities.
• Tableau, Qlik or other BI visualisation platforms.
• Microsoft Fabric or modern lakehouse architectures.
• Data science, advanced analytics or AI-enabled reporting.
• Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality initiatives.
• Experience developing enterprise data strategies and technology roadmaps.
