Job summary

Forward Role is recruiting a Digital Apprenticeship Coach in Swansea. The role blends remote delivery, employer visits and office time to coach Welsh Government-funded apprentices on IT and data programmes.

You will manage a caseload, run progress reviews, prepare for End-Point Assessment and build strong employer relationships, with travel across South Wales and CPD to keep delivery quality high. This is ideal for technical professionals who want to turn expertise into careers.

Qualifications

• Experience training, coaching or mentoring in apprenticeship delivery or equivalent.
• Confident delivering structured learning sessions for early-career learners.
• Willing to travel across South Wales to employer sites.
• Teaching or assessing qualification (TAQA, CAVA or similar), or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coach Level 3/4 apprentices on Data Technician courses, through remote sessions, workplace visits and workshops.
• Manage a caseload of apprentices, tracking progress against the apprenticeship standard and keeping records compliant.
• Run progress reviews with apprentices and their employers, setting clear targets for knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment, including portfolio and project guidance.
• Build working relationships with employers so on-the-job learning ties back to the programme.
• Keep delivery quality high through observations, standardisation and regular CPD.

You'll coach Welsh Government-funded apprentices through IT & data programmes, in a hybrid role that blends remote delivery, employer visits and time in the office. Desirable:

• Prior apprenticeship delivery against a named standard
• Familiarity with EPA processes
