Purpose Of Role

This is a Front Office role that is embedded within the private structured credit fund – part of our Discretionary division.

Specific Responsibilities

• Configure, Update, Maintain, Clean and Upload data tapes and credit events (received from banks in an excel format), into a SQL database ensuring the management of the full ETL pipeline
• Management of vast datasets, daily, ensuring monitoring of data discrepancies and maintaining accuracy of data
• Updating, Generating and Expanding the monthly and quarterly reports produced by the fund, ensuring data accuracy across reporting tasks alongside independent expansion of reporting metrics and charting through Python
• Configure and upload portfolio/deal data to an external valuation agent and ensuring data is correct and reflective of portfolio
• Point of contact for data access from CPM/Portfolio Management

Technical Competencies

• Degree educated in a STEM subject with a minimum 1st class or upper 2nd (or equivalent) achieved
• Basic understanding of financial instruments eg. Bonds, CDS’ and CDO’s
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a data analyst/visualisation role
• Computer literate with intermediate skills within Python, utilising VS Code (or equivalent IDE), Jupyter and Github on a day-to-day basis, with Tbleau being preferable
• Collaboration, communication, organisation, and presentation skills together with the ability to confidently deal with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to write and communicate in a clear, concise and ‘audience-appropriate’ manner with prudent and detailed understanding of underlying data
