Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Data Analyst placement student to join the Product Lifecycle Management team for the Power Systems Business Unit in Sandwich, Kent, UK. The role is an on-site placement commencing Summer 2027, with a requirement to be onsite three days per week.

Qualifications

Studying towards a STEM related degree; computer science, data engineering or software engineering are desirable but not essential.
Strong communication to articulate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of PLM, software applications, and product lifecycle management is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Assist in requirements gathering with stakeholders to understand PLM needs.
Analyze PLM data to identify trends, design changes, and bottlenecks in development.
Research new technologies or best practices to inform solution design.
Support creation of design documents and technical diagrams outlining architecture.
Write and test code or configure software components under guidance.
Design and implement innovative solutions and present outcomes to customers.
