Wokingham Borough Council is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join their Digital, Data and Technology team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on delivering data solutions and enhancing the organisation's data capabilities. Successful candidates will work with SQL and PowerBI, contributing to the Business Intelligence Programme and supporting the local government in making data-driven decisions. We have an exciting opportunity available for a motivated and experienced Data Analytics Engineer to join us as key members of the Digital, Data and Technology team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, 12-Month Fixed Term Contract.
As a Data Analytics Engineer you will work as part of the Data Team, which has responsibility for providing organisation wide solutions to data in particular, but not exclusively, targeted at the organisation’s key strategic focuses:
This is a technical data engineering role; your day-to-day work will involve supporting the delivery of the Business Intelligence Programme with a focus on the effective and efficient development of data products, primarily using Azure, for services across the organisation.
At its core, the purpose of this role is to enhance the Council’s data capability so that it can meet the increasing complex challenges in local government. Meeting the needs of our residents, putting them at the heart of what we do, equipping officers and the leadership of the Council with the data they need to make evidence-based decisions.
