Job summary

The Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Data Analyst based in Exeter to support the Insolvency Service and the wider Civil Service. The role focuses on turning data into actionable insight to inform operational delivery and policy development, while boosting data literacy and maturity across the organisation.

You will work with the Analysis and Performance team, produce high-quality analyses, and help automate data flows and visualisations using Power BI, R and Azure Data Platform.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting, organising and analysing data to support decision-making.
• Ability to produce official statistics in line with standards.
• Experience turning data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Produce the agency's regular official statistics in formats for different audiences.
• Produce regular performance reports and dashboards with evidence-based data stories.
• Use exploratory data analysis, descriptive statistics, time series and correlation analyses to identify trends.
• Work with qualitative and quantitative data ensuring high quality analysis.
• Collaborate with digital and analytical teams to deliver insights.
• Improve processes and systems following the Aqua Book and Analysis Function Standards.
