Job summary

Nelson and Colne College is seeking a Data Analyst based at Accrington and Rossendale College to drive strategic decision‑making using data insights, forecasting and reporting with Power BI, SQL and Excel. The role may involve travel across sites.

You will turn complex learner, curriculum and performance data into dashboards, develop automated reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with MIS, finance and curriculum teams to improve data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI and analytical tools; experience with large datasets.
• Highly organized, detail-focused, able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communicator and cross-team collaborator.

Responsibilities

• Turn complex learner, curriculum, funding and performance data into insights, dashboards and reports.
• Develop and maintain automated reporting using Power BI, Excel and SQL.
• Support budgeting and forecasting through data modelling and scenario planning.
• Collaborate with curriculum, MIS, finance and quality teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Identify risks and opportunities to strengthen data governance and BI capabilities.
