Job summary

Seismic Recruitment is supporting a global engineering and manufacturing organisation in Desford, Leicestershire, in their search for a Data Analyst to join onsite on a 12-month contract with strong extension potential.

You will own dashboards, reporting and automation projects, using Power BI, SQL and Python to transform data usage across the business, create data structures in SharePoint and data lakes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive insight-led decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, reporting or dashboard development
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Strong Power BI development and reporting experience, including dashboard creation and DAX
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to delivery
• Backgrounds in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, rail, telecommunications, IT, FMCG, or similar data-driven sectors will be highly relevant

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Extract, analyse and manipulate data using SQL and Python
• Develop automated data solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate
• Create and maintain effective data structures across SharePoint, data lakes and internal business systems
• Use DAX and Power Query to deliver meaningful business insights
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve business challenges
• Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision making
