Job summary

Oxford Instruments is seeking a Data Analyst for a 6-month contract to support the OpEx programme across multiple sites. You will develop forecasting models, automate reporting, and build Power BI dashboards to drive productivity improvements.

The role requires advanced Excel, Power BI, and data-automation skills, with the ability to present insights to senior stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in data analysis or a related field.
• Experience as data analyst or BI analyst in manufacturing, operations or supply chain.
• Experience forecasting, planning or capacity needs.
• Potential to grow into a future leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develop parts-level forecasts from historical sales, demand and production data.
• Build forecasting models translating product demand into component requirements with BoMs.
• Create analytical tools identifying part commonality across product families and BoMs.
• Automate KPI extraction and reporting for procurement and supply chain.
• Develop Power BI dashboards to visualise SIOP performance and constraints.
• Design and maintain production load and capacity models.
• Provide analytical support for supply/demand balancing across the business.
• Communicate weekly with senior leadership to review findings and insights.
• Present insights and recommendations to executive sponsors.
