Job summary

BDO UK is a leading accountancy and business advisory firm. Its Data Office helps govern, enable, and use data as a strategic asset, supporting better decisions, stronger client outcomes, and sustainable growth.

We are seeking a data analyst to build data products, translate data into actionable insights, and collaborate with Data Engineering and stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data analysis, data science, or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Extensive experience in data analytics and data visualisation.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and analytical techniques.
• Experience with large datasets and relational databases.
• Track record of making data solutions accessible for end-users.
• Experience working with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
• Experience building data products that transition manual and heavily Excel-based analysis to automated or semi-automated solutions.
• Knowledge of star schema modelling, including dimensional data modelling, dimensions, facts, measures, and hierarchies.
• Experience developing analytics with Microsoft Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
• Nice to have: Python, experience beyond descriptive and diagnostic analytics.
