Job summary

Oscar in Manchester is seeking a Data Analyst to join its growing data and technology team. The role is hybrid, with two days in the Manchester office, focusing on data-led insights, dashboard development and improved reporting processes.

You will work with large datasets, translate complex information into commercial insights and collaborate with product, finance, operations and leadership to drive business performance.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with ability to write, join and analyze complex datasets.
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data.
• Clear communication of analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or Tableau.
• Analyse customer behaviour, transaction activity and product performance for insights.
• Monitor key metrics and KPIs and highlight trends needing investigation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across product, finance, operations, technology and commercial teams.
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
• Investigate data discrepancies and improve data quality.
• Deliver regular and ad hoc reports to support planning and decision-making.
• Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency.
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support a data-driven culture across the organisation.
