Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Apprentify in Wilmslow is seeking a Data Analyst ready to turn complex data into clear insight, building dashboards and management reporting across the group.
You’ll work with data from learner management systems, HubSpot, Xero and finance platforms, write SQL queries and ensure a single view of performance for board and senior teams.
This role is junior to mid-level, starts immediately, supports growth initiatives, and offers hybrid working after initial settling-in.
Apprentify Group is a portfolio of six specialist companies, each with its own culture, personality and people. Together, we support more than 10,000 learners a year and work with 200+ employers across the UK across data, tech, AI, leadership, sales and digital marketing.
As an Ofsted Outstanding provider and a specialist in AI, data and tech apprenticeships, we're growing quickly and becoming increasingly data-led in how we make decisions.
We need a Data Analyst ready to turn complex data into clear insight, building the reporting, dashboards and analysis that help our board, senior leadership and teams understand how the business is performing and make better commercial decisions.
The real work: Most of your time will be spent building and maintaining dashboards and management reporting, analysing operational and commercial KPIs, bringing together data from different systems and turning numbers into insight that people across the group can actually use.
You'll work with data from areas including learner management systems, HubSpot, finance platforms such as Xero, sales and operations. You'll also write and maintain SQL queries, investigate data quality issues and help create a single, reliable view of performance across the group.
You'll also work directly with teams across sales, product, operations, marketing and finance, translating loosely defined questions into clear analysis and presenting your findings to senior, non-technical audiences.
This is a role where your work will be visible. Your reporting will support board and senior leadership discussions, major enterprise accounts and group-wide growth initiatives.
The environment: You'll be based in our Wilmslow office initially. That's deliberate getting to know the business, our people and how our data fits together is an important part of the role. Once you're established and settled, we'll agree a hybrid working pattern together.
You won't be handed a perfect specification every time. Requests may come from several stakeholders at once, sometimes as a fairly messy brief. You'll need to ask the right questions, work out what's actually needed and take ownership of getting to a useful answer.
You'll join a central, group-wide function, working closely with sales, product, operations, marketing and finance across our different brands.
How we work: Clear expectations, genuine ownership of how you deliver against them. You'll have the opportunity to shape how we report, measure and understand performance rather than simply maintaining existing reports.
The data won't always be clean and the questions won't always be neatly packaged.
You may have several stakeholders asking for different things at the same time, data coming from different systems that doesn't immediately align, or a request where the answer isn't obvious from the outset.
You'll need to be comfortable investigating what's behind the numbers, challenging something when it doesn't add up and explaining what you've found clearly even when the answer isn't necessarily what someone wanted to hear.
It's a growing business, so processes and reporting structures will continue to evolve. This role suits someone who sees that as an opportunity to build, improve and learn.
An introductory 30-minute call with the Talent team to discuss the role, your experience, motivation, salary expectations, notice period, right to work and the initial office-based requirement.
You’ll complete a short data exercise in advance and present your findings during an 80-minute in-person interview in Wilmslow. We’ll explore how you approach data, identify insights, assess data quality and turn your analysis into practical recommendations.
A final in-person conversation focused on commercial judgement, communication, stakeholder management, trust and your longer-term development within the role.
The postholder will be required to undergo Safer Recruitment check prior to starting work, including an appropriate level of DBS check (dependent on role) and a reference check.
