About ILS
At Intelligent Legal Solutions (ILS), we're transforming how fund formation legal work gets done. Our flagship product, ProVision, is a legal tech SaaS platform that automates fund formation workflows for law firms and fund managers.
We're still early, but we have clear product–market fit, a deep understanding of our buyers and an ambitious roadmap. We operate at the intersection of law, private investment funds and workflow automation, and we're building the go-to platform for fund formation teams globally.
This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, high-calibre team that is seeing significant traction in the marketplace. The bar is high, the work is hands-on, and the impact on the company's growth, brand and revenue will be direct and visible.
We move fast, take ownership and stay close to our customers. We value clear thinking and simplicity over complexity. If you want to do the best work of your career in legal tech, we'd love to build with you.
The Role
We're looking for a Data Analyst to turn ProVision usage, support and customer data into clear reporting that helps our Customer Support and Customer Success teams target training and increase adoption across our customer firms.
This is a hands-on, analytical role, working closely with Customer Support, Customer Success, Product and the founders.
You'll have the opportunity to build ILS's reporting on how customers use ProVision from the ground up, and your analysis will shape where the team spends its time.
As ILS continues to grow, the role is likely to develop too, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, bringing ideas and getting involved.
What You'll Be Doing
Support and adoption reporting
  • Track support ticket volume, themes and response times by firm and by user.
  • Build and maintain adoption dashboards for each customer firm.
  • Identify firms, teams and users who would benefit from targeted training or support.
  • Produce regular reporting for the Customer Support and Customer Success teams.
Product usage analysis
  • Analyse product usage data to understand how funds teams use ProVision day to day.
  • Work with Product to define and track the metrics that matter.
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis for the founders and team leads.
Data quality and tooling
  • Keep customer and support data accurate and consistent across our systems, including Zendesk, HubSpot and Amplitude.
  • Automate recurring reports so the team spends less time compiling them.
  • Document metric definitions so everyone works from the same numbers.
Working with the wider team
  • Work closely with Customer Support, Customer Success, Product and the founders.
  • Share ideas and contribute to wider company priorities.
  • Help improve processes and ways of working as the business grows.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is curious, precise and able to explain data in plain terms, and comfortable working in a growing business where things are still being built.
You'll ideally have:
  • At least 2 years' experience in a data or analytics role, ideally in a SaaS business.
  • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills.
  • Experience with a BI or product analytics tool, such as Amplitude, Looker or Power BI.
  • The ability to turn analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Close attention to detail and a habit of checking your numbers.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical colleagues.
It would be great if you also have:
  • Experience in legal tech or professional services.
  • Python or another scripting language for data work.
  • Experience with Zendesk or HubSpot data.
  • An interest in private investment funds or fund formation.
You don't need to tick every box. If you have strong experience that you think is relevant to the role and it sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd still like to hear from you.
What We Offer
We want people to do great work without losing sight of life outside of work.
For this role, our package includes:
  • c. £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 25 days' annual leave, plus UK bank holidays.
  • Bupa private medical and dental cover following successful completion of probation.
  • Company pension through NEST, including employer contributions.
  • A flexible, hybrid working environment.
  • The opportunity to have a visible impact in a growing legal tech business.
  • A collaborative team with direct access to senior leadership and founders.
  • Plenty of opportunity to grow your role and responsibilities as ILS scales.
Benefits are subject to the applicable scheme rules and company policies and may be amended from time to time.
What the Interview Process Looks Like
We want the recruitment process to be straightforward and give you a good opportunity to get to know us too.
  • Introductory call — A short conversation with the People team to talk through your experience, what you're looking for and the role.
  • Hiring Manager interview — A conversation with the Customer Support Manager to explore your experience, approach to the role and how you work.
  • Practical exercise — A short analysis of a sample dataset, followed by a discussion of your findings. This shows us how you approach a problem and explain your conclusions.
  • Final conversation — A final conversation with relevant members of the ILS team and founders, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and get a better feel for the team, culture and direction of the business.
We'll keep you updated throughout the process and aim to give you clarity on next steps after each stage.
If you need a reasonable adjustment at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know. We'll be happy to discuss what support you need.
A Little More About ILS
We're still growing, which means things can move quickly and not everything will always be perfectly defined.
We value people who take ownership, communicate clearly, ask questions and are willing to get involved. We care about doing good work, but we also believe in keeping things simple and practical.
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with people across the business and see the impact of your work directly.
Equal Opportunities
ILS is committed to providing an inclusive and fair recruitment process. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and make employment decisions based on skills, experience and suitability for the role.
We do not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. We are also committed to making reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process where required. Requests can be made by emailing hr@intelligentlegalsolutions.com .
If this sounds like the kind of role you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.
