Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team in Plymouth. The role focuses on SQL-driven data analytics, building dashboards and visualisations, and delivering actionable insights from multiple data sources.

You will analyse datasets, automate reporting, and support BI initiatives across marketing, recruitment, student performance, and financial reporting. A strong communication skillset and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
• Ability to develop dashboards and analyse complex datasets.
• Level 3+ qualification in Data Analytics/CS or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse trends across college data to generate insights.
• Develop interactive dashboards, visualisations and reports.
• Work with MS SQL Server and Google data sources.
• Develop automated reporting to reduce manual work.
• Create SQL databases, automations and triggers in student systems.
• Support departments with reporting and BI.
• Contribute to marketing, recruitment, student performance, financial reporting.
• Support adoption of modern BI, predictive analytics and data science tools.
• Full-time permanent role, 37 hours per week.

Salary: £36,000 - 36,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL and data visualisation skills.
• We require strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• We require experience developing dashboards, analysing complex datasets and creating data visualisations.
• We will consider a Level 3 qualification or higher in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related subject, or strong relevant experience.
• We are looking for strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• We need someone who can work independently and manage competing priorities.
• We value a positive, self-starting attitude with excellent attention to detail.
• We require strong communication and customer service skills.
