Data Analyst (up to £55K per annum)

About The Role

This role sits within the Data & Analytics team, embedded in the commercial Team, and works closely with stakeholders across editorial, product, commercial, and marketing. Reporting to a Lead Analyst, youll help deliver insights that support content strategy, audience growth, editorial decisions, and commercial performance.

As a Data Analyst, youll work with data from multiple sources and visualisation platforms to create reports, identify trends, and support decision-making. Youll gain exposure to a wide range of business areas and play a key role in embedding data into day-to-day thinking across teams. You'll help editorial and content teams understand what resonates with audiences, how content is performing, and where the biggest opportunities lie.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid analytics foundation whos looking to deepen their skills in a fast-paced digital media environment and who enjoys using data to influence what gets published, promoted, and prioritised.

As a Data Analyst you will;

  • Analyse performance of articles, videos, podcasts, and other content formats to support editorial and product decisions.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and monitor performance over time.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and refine metrics that reflect business goals.
  • Support A/B tests and help evaluate marketing or product experiments.
  • Explore content, customer and user engagement trends to support growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with other analysts, analytics engineers and data engineers on improving data quality and reporting processes.
  • Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytics or BI role, ideally in a digital or content-driven business.
  • Proficiency in SQL (experience with joins, windows function, and optimisation).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Some experience with web or product analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Adobe Analytics).
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Some knowledge of A/B testing, customer segmentation, or funnel analysis is a plus.
  • Experience with tools like BigQuery, DBT, or Python is helpful but not mandatory.
