Base pay range

Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Data Analyst to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a salary from £31,210 per annum.

About the Data Analyst role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst/Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support evidence-based decision-making across the charity. You will work closely with colleagues to develop dashboards, generate reports, and uncover insights.

The charity aims to operate more dynamically with real-time data generation and consistency. This role is critical for understanding the delivery of our strategy, services, and special projects. It will collaborate across departments including marketing/communications, EDI, finance, operational, and governance teams. The role involves reporting on financial and non-financial data, with a focus on impact reporting.

Location:

Home based with occasional national travel

Hours:

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What you'll bring as our Data Analyst:
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Power BI reporting and dashboard creation
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR)
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and processes
Skills
  • Proven experience in Power BI report writing
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills
  • Understanding of data structures and data modelling
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Experience in user training (small groups or 1-1)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in Data Analysis or reporting roles
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools and software
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and databases
  • Ability to interpret and present results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with deadlines and taking ownership of data investigations
  • Implementing best practices around data and reporting
