Job summary

Guardian News and Media Limited is seeking an Analyst for the Editorial Analytics team. You will analyze reader engagement and content performance to inform newsroom strategies and decision-making across the newsroom and wider business.

The role requires developing an understanding of editorial workflows, audience behavior, and business priorities, and applying this context when interpreting data. This hybrid role offers flexibility and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with data using SQL (in a professional or academic setting).
  • Understanding of core analytical concepts (averages, distributions, basic statistical testing).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker).
  • Ability to think logically about problems and break them down into manageable analyses.
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders and building positive working relationships.

About you

Experience working with data using SQL (in a professional or academic setting). Understanding of core analytical concepts (e.g. averages, distributions, basic statistical testing). Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker). Ability to think logically about problems and break them down into manageable analyses. Comfortable working with stakeholders and building positive working relationships.

We are now looking for an Analyst to join our Editorial Analytics team! You'll use data to help understand how our journalism reaches and engages readers, and supports decision making across the newsroom and wider business.

Guardian News and Media is proud to be a London Living wage employer. The minimum salary for any full-time role within the organisation is 30,000 per annum. Salary ranges are dependent on skills and experience.
