Job summary

The Guardian is seeking an Analyst to join Editorial Analytics to turn data into actionable insights on reader engagement and content performance that guide newsroom strategy.

You will work with SQL, data visualization tools, and collaborate with Product, Engineering and other teams while upholding privacy and governance standards. Hybrid work from London remains central to the role.

We are now looking for an Analyst to join our Editorial Analytics team! You’ll use data to help understand how our journalism reaches and engages readers, and supports decision making across the newsroom and wider business.

About the role

About you

• Experience working with data using SQL (in a professional or academic setting).
• Understanding of core analytical concepts (e.g. averages, distributions, basic statistical testing).
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker).
• Ability to think logically about problems and break them down into manageable analyses.
• Comfortable working with stakeholders and building positive working relationships.

We operate in a hybrid environment working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely.

Guardian News and Media is proud to be a London Living wage employer. The minimum salary for any full-time role within the organisation is £30,000 per annum. Salary ranges are dependent on skills and experience.
