Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Data Analyst in London to scale growth and adoption analytics. You will act as a trusted data advisor to business partners, coach peers, and lead in AI-first data models, workflows, and agent-ready datasets.

Success hinges on blending analytics with product insight to drive strategic recommendations and growth. Work with data engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to enable data-driven answers to key business problems, review MR contributions, and craft clear data

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with job orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, pipeline developer and reviewer
• Expert-level SQL writing and optimization for large datasets, including window functions and CTEs
• 3+ years experience in version control (GitLab or GitHub)
• Initiative, curiosity, stakeholder engagement and empathy
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• 4+ years in centralized data analytics teams partnering with business
• Experience translating business questions into analysis frameworks and actionable recommendations
• Proficiency with analytics-relevant AI tooling
• 2+ years in data ingestion and transformation frameworks (dbt, Fivetran)
• Experience with Python, R for analytics
• Analytics experience in fast-growing tech/SaaS environments
• Interest in internet security, protocols, and edge development

Responsibilities

• Own development and maintenance of agent-ready curated datasets end-to-end
• Provide analytics support and strategic perspective to business partners
• Partner with data engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to enable data-driven answers to key problems
• Review Merge Requests from team and agents
• Gather requirements, define, build, and maintain pipelines and metrics
• Tell digestible, actionable stories with data to help stakeholders understand insights

Job description

• The Cloudflare Data Intelligence & Analytics (DIA) team has built a unified data & ML platform to provide our internal Business Partners with actionable analytics, insights, and recommendations
• We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst in London to scale our growth & adoption analytics initiatives. You will be a trusted data advisor to our business partners, a technical coach to your peers, and the lead in terms of shaping AI-first data models, workflows, and agent-ready-datasets
• Success in this role will rely on marrying a strong analytics background with product and business acumen to deliver highly strategic and compelling insights that accelerate growth and influence adoption. This role also requires a deep understanding of data infrastructure, job orchestration, and lineage, all with the use of AI-tooling as default
• Own the development and maintenance of agent-ready curated datasets end-to-end
• Provide analytics support and a strategic perspective to our business partners
• Partner with data engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to enable data-driven answers to key business problems
• Review Merge Requests created by your team of humans and agents
• Take initiative to gather requirements, define, build, and maintain pipelines and metrics
• Tell easily digestible and highly actionable stories with data to help stakeholders understand analytical insights

• 2+ years experience working with job orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, both as a pipeline developer and reviewer
• Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries is mandatory, with a proven ability to performance-tune complex queries and manage analysis workflows against large, petabyte-scale datasets (Candidates will be assessed on advanced SQL skills including window functions and common table expressions (CTEs))
• 3+ years experience working in version control environments using platforms such as Gitlab or Github
• Initiative, curiosity, strong stakeholder engagement, and empathy
• B.S. or M.S in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields
• 4+ years experience in a centralized data analytics teams in close partnership with business stakeholders
• Experience translating business questions into analysis frameworks, converting results into business recommendations, and presenting those to stakeholders
• Demonstrable proficiency with analytics-relevant AI-tooling
• 2+ years experience with data ingestion and transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, or custom/in-house developed platforms)
• Experience with statistical analysis programming languages (Python, R etc.)
• Analytics experience in a fast-growing technology, SaaS, or subscription-based business
• Experience and/or a keen interest in internet security, protocols, and edge-development
