About the role

We are recruiting a Data Analyst to join our Operations Support team. The role involves providing management information to senior leaders, supporting the development, analysis, and delivery of operational and financial data, and ensuring statutory and contractual obligations are met.

You will engage with senior management across the Trust, supporting strategy development, analysis, and success measurement, especially in areas like operational maintenance, efficiencies, health & safety, finance, and compliance.

Location

This role is based on remote working, with occasional attendance at main hub locations such as Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley, Newark, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, and Gloucester. You should be able to reasonably commute to one of these hubs.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop, implement, analyze, and measure works aligning with Trust priorities; interrogate systems and develop reports on outcomes and trends for continuous improvement.
  • Interpret and present reports clearly using various media.
  • Provide accurate, timely reports, including business analysis, monthly management, and ad-hoc reports to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain and improve measurement and reporting systems, automating where possible.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop meaningful KPIs and reports, emphasizing automation.
  • Work with teams across the Trust to understand data needs, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Analyze data for trends, communicate findings, and support improvements to meet Trust objectives.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity, investigating anomalies as needed.
  • Perform performance analysis and reporting to support productivity and compliance improvements.

Technical skills:

  • Experience in understanding unfamiliar industries for effective data management and analysis.
  • Proficient in analyzing cost control, productivity, and program metrics.
  • Ability to obtain and automate data from external sources.
  • Skilled in PowerBI or similar visualization tools.
  • Experience in creating communication materials related to data.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean principles is desirable.

General skills:

  • Proficient in IT platforms, capable of extracting and interpreting data for reports.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with multi-tasking ability.

What We Offer
