Job summary

Vertu Motors plc is recruiting a Data Analyst to join our Gateshead Head Office team. The role focuses on rebuilding our data warehouse in the cloud using Redshift and AWS Glue, and delivering BI insights with Power BI.

You will work with AWS Glue ETL, SQL and Python to analyse large data sets, create dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders. Based in Gateshead, the North East, you will contribute to our data strategy, ensure data accuracy, and document data processes while continuously

• Experience in a Data Analyst role.
• Strong experience with SQL and Python.
• Experience with AWS Glue or similar ETL tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

We are currently engaged in an ambitious strategic project to rebuild our data warehouse in the cloud using Redshift and AWS Glue, including integration of our Customer Data Platform, and a roll out of our new BI platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in this project and to learn new skills in cloud technology, whilst applying your previous experience of SQL.

As our Data Analyst your key responsibilities will be:

• Develop and maintain the Data Warehouse using SQL.
• Develop ETL processes using AWS Glue.
• Create reports and dashboards using Power BI
• Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques.

For this role we are looking for you to have:

This is based at our Head Office inGateshead, so we are looking for the successful candidate to be based within the North East. We are able to offer a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience.
