Job summary

Maxwell Bond is helping a growing e-commerce business in Gateshead recruit a Data Analyst to own the data function and shape how data is used across the company.

You’ll build dashboards in Omni, use SQL to analyse sales, customers and marketing data, and develop commercial reporting across ROAS, CPA, acquisition and customer behaviour. This hybrid role offers real ownership and impact on decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and BI experience required.
• Experience building dashboards and reporting.
• Exposure to ecommerce or marketing data is a plus.

Responsibilities

Picture joining a growing e-commerce business where you'll have the opportunity to shape how data is used across the company.

The business already has data across sales, customers, marketing and operations. Now they're looking for someone to take ownership of the data function, improve the existing setup and build the processes needed as the business continues to grow.

You'll work closely with Marketing, E-commerce, Sales and Operations, as well as the Senior Data Engineer, giving you exposure across the wider business.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the data and reporting function, helping build the processes and structure around how the business uses data.

• Build dashboards and reporting in Omni, using SQL to analyse sales, customer and marketing data
• Develop commercial reporting across ROAS, CPA, acquisition, sales and customer behaviour
• Improve existing data processes, automate manual reporting and help build better ways of working
• Work with the Senior Data Engineer to improve data quality and create trusted datasets
• Partner with Marketing, E-commerce, Sales and Operations to turn data into insight and support commercial decisions

You’ll suit this role if you have strong SQL and BI experience, enjoy working with stakeholders and want the ownership to shape and improve a growing data function. Experience with Omni, Looker, e-commerce or marketing data would be useful.
