About our Department:Arden’s Data Practice is our university’s centre for decision support and insight. The data professionals within our Data Practice are here to support colleagues and students in performance monitoring, insights, and analytics.
Operational Research is the discipline that applies advanced analytical capabilities to support Arden’s people in making the best possible tactical or strategic decisions. OR involves using techniques such as mathematics, statistics, and computer science to analyse complex systems and optimise their performance.
About the Role:The Data Analyst role is part of the Operational Research team and plays a key part in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful analysis of internal and external data to inform strategic and operational decision-making. The analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing reporting solutions that address a variety of planning and reporting challenges related to student data. A key aspect of this role will be enhancing the quality and accessibility of student data reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the expectations and needs of the Operational Research function.
Working closely with Strategic Operational Research Managers—who help define requirements and contextualise analysis within broader business insights—Data Analysts will contribute to building foundational analytical capability across the team. This work underpins the core mission of the Operational Research unit, which, under the guidance of the Principal Analytics team, manages the University’s reporting portfolio.
