Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards or analysis to aid decisions.
• Confidence with numbers and interpreting data accurately.
• Ability to explain insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive approach and keen on continuous improvement.
• Good problem-solving skills and curiosity to investigate issues.
• Willingness to adapt as priorities change.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert requirements into clear reports and insights.
• Explore datasets, understand structures and build accurate, insightful reporting.
• Spot trends and opportunities, explaining data to drive action.
• Work with operational managers to understand performance and develop value-adding plans.
• Share findings confidently with varied audiences, from colleagues to leaders.
• Develop understanding of key operational, financial and performance metrics.

Data Analyst

Location – Rochdale - Must be based near or in Rochdale

We are looking for a commercially aware and curious Data Analyst to join our Data Team. You will create accurate engaging reporting for internal teams and clients turning complex information into clear insight practical recommendations and meaningful action.

What you will be doing:

• Work with colleagues and stakeholders to understand what they need from data then help turn those requirements into clear reliable reports and insight.
• Explore new datasets understand how they are structured and use them to build reporting that is accurate insightful and easy to understand.
• Spot trends highlight improvement opportunities and explain what the data is telling us in a way that helps the business take action.
• Collaborate with operational managers and service teams to understand performance challenges identify where insight can add value and develop plans to achieve.
• Share findings clearly and confidently with different audiences from operational colleagues through to senior leaders.
• Build your understanding of the key operational financial and performance measures that matter to the business.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency and work with colleagues to deliver.
• Manage your workload and projects effectively with support from senior colleagues when priorities change or deadlines are tight.

What we are looking for:

You do not need to know everything from day one, but you should enjoy working with data asking good questions and finding practical ways to solve problems. We are looking for someone who can bring:

• Around 3 years' experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Experience creating reports dashboards or analysis that help people understand performance and make decisions.
• Confidence working with numbers and interpreting data accurately.
• The ability to explain insight clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A proactive positive approach and a genuine interest in continuous improvement.
• Good problem-solving skills and the curiosity to investigate issues through to resolution.
• Confidence to ask questions challenge assumptions and suggest better ways of working.
• Flexibility to adapt as business operational or client priorities change.

Technical skills we are looking for

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Power BI skills.
• Strong working knowledge of:- SQL Power Query M-DAX Skills and experience that would be useful
• Experience within enforcement compliance or other regulated services.
• Familiarity with case management systems or operational performance metrics in a field-based workforce.
• Degree-level education in mathematics statistics economics or a similar subject andnbsp
