Job summary

REFLECTION is seeking a Product Counsel, Data & Search in London to lead legal support for data acquisition and model development. You will advise on data privacy, IP, licensing, and AI regulation, working with product, research, engineering, and safety teams to embed compliant practices across the open foundation models.

You will shape policies, review processes, and escalation pathways to enable rapid yet responsible product releases, navigating evolving global AI laws and standards.

Qualifications

• Identify and advise on legal risks for AI data use, privacy, IP, and licensing.
• Explain evolving US and international AI regulations to product and research teams.
• Develop policies to ensure compliant data provenance and usage for AI models.

Responsibilities

• Act as the company's primary legal contact for pre-training data and AI proposals.
• Advise on data acquisition, use, licensing, and regulatory compliance for AI training.
• Provide guidance on agentic and search capabilities within product development.
• Design data integrity standards to manage data use risks and compliance.
• Monitor and translate US and international regulatory developments for leadership.
