Job summary

Well-Safe Solutions Ltd in Aberdeen seeks a Data and AI Engineer to design, build and support secure, scalable data and AI solutions. You will develop data pipelines, AI-enabled applications and analytics products across the business.

Role involves translating business requirements into practical cloud-based solutions using Python, SQL and Microsoft Fabric, while ensuring governance, security and human oversight throughout delivery.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in a science/engineering field and practical data engineering experience.
Experience building data pipelines using SQL and Python across multiple data sources.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services or similar cloud platforms.
Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT, APIs and data quality principles.
Familiarity with software engineering practices including version control, testing and deployment.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain data pipelines ingesting data from operational, project and financial systems.
Develop cloud data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services.
Create curated datasets for Power BI analytics and AI use cases.
Develop AI-enabled solutions with governance and human oversight.
Build prototypes and production-grade data and automation solutions using Python and SQL.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define use cases and technical designs.
Establish monitoring, testing, deployment and support practices.
Improve data quality, lineage and documentation in line with governance.
