Job summary

Reed Technology is seeking a Data Integration & Application Support Technician for a hands-on role in our Bracknell office. You will prepare customer data in Excel, import into an Access-based database, and test within our live application.

You will write SQL queries, understand the database structure, and help present data clearly to end users. This is a 3-month onsite contract with an hourly rate of £24 via Umbrella (Inside IR35).

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and cleaning data in Excel.
• Familiarity with Access databases and SQL queries.
• Ability to validate data in live applications and troubleshoot.
• Understanding of GUI data presentation.

Data Integration & Application Support Technician

We are seeking a Data Integration & Application Support Technician for a hands‑on technical role within our team. This position involves developing and supporting a proprietary business application used by real customers. You will work onsite in our Bracknell office, handling real customer datasets, validating results within the live application, and influencing how data is displayed to end users. Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare and clean customer data using Excel, employing formulas, lookups, and other features to ready data for import.
• Import data into our Access-based database, ensuring data integrity throughout the process by running queries and checks.
• Test imported data within our proprietary business application to ensure accuracy, identify issues, and collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies.
• Gain a deep understanding of the underlying database structure, including tables, relationships, and queries, and how the application utilizes this data.
• Write and refine SQL queries in Access to support testing, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Configure the application's graphical user interface (GUI) to display SQL output effectively, ensuring clarity and accuracy for users.
