Job summary

Recruitment Marketing Group is seeking a Telecommunications DAS Design Engineer to join a national organisation. The role focuses on delivering in-building DAS designs, carrying out site surveys and producing site-specific designs with emphasis on quality and compliance.

You will perform RF and design surveys, model using iBwave, review outputs, and collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and accuracy. A clean driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in in-building / indoor DAS or similar coverage designs.
• Ability to interpret RF survey results and generate design outputs.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and RAMS requirements.
• Effective communication of technical details to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test equipment for surveys.

Job description

A National Organisation is seeking a Telecommunications DAS Design Engineer to join their growing business and work on some large in-building solutions projects. The successful DAS Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering high quality distributed antenna solutions. Working across all company projects, the DAS Design Engineer will carry out site surveys and also work with the site project engineer to produce site specific designs placing emphasis on quality design outputs & compliance with internal quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare test equipment for surveys
• Perform RF and Design Surveys for inbuilding DAS
• Perform RF Modelling and design using iBwave
• Review results, drawings and reports conducted by others
• Perform DAS design criteria/requirements, system dimensioning, link budget and traffic analysis
• Complete RAMS and abide by company H&S policy
• Daily update to DAS Design Manager on progress and raise issues swiftly
• Update DAS project managers and co-ordinators as required
• Request test equipment and materials required for site surveys
• Complete any Handover Packs, Post Integration Reports and Design Reports on agreed timescales and report templates
• Provide estimated effort and resources required for particular tasks
• Updating any internal reporting system as required.
• Familiarisation of all company documentation in relation to In-Building DAS, especially ISO procedures.

Key Skills:

• Experience of in-building / indoor solutions / special coverage designs with iBwave
• Experience with TEMS investigation, NEMO
• Experience of CW Testing
• Experience of producing detailed design reports
• Ability to communicate technical details to a non-technical audience
• High degree of accuracy and organisation skills
• Clean driving licence
