Job summary

Captiv8 Resources Limited is seeking a Telecommunications DAS Design Engineer to join a growing team working on large in-building solutions projects.

The successful candidate will deliver high quality distributed antenna solutions, conduct site surveys, and collaborate with the site project engineer to produce site-specific designs that meet internal quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience of in-building/indoor DAS design and RF planning.
• Experience conducting RF and design surveys for DAS.
• Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test equipment for surveys and site surveys.
• Perform RF and design surveys for in-building DAS.
• Perform RF modelling and design using iBwave.
• Review results, drawings, and reports produced by others.
• Ensure DAS designs meet project and quality standards.
• Draft RAMS and follow H&S policies.

Job description

A National Organisation is seeking a Telecommunications DAS Design Engineer to join their growing business and work on some large in-building solutions projects.

The successful DAS Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering high quality distributed antenna solutions.

Working across all company projects, the DAS Design Engineer will carry out site surveys and also work with the site project engineer to produce site specific designs placing emphasis on quality design outputs & compliance with internal quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare test equipment for surveys
• Perform RF and Design Surveys for inbuilding DAS
• Perform RF Modelling and design using iBwave
• Review results, drawings and reports conducted by others
• Perform DAS design criteria/requirements, system dimensioning, link budget and traffic analysis
• Complete RAMS and abide by company H&S policy
• Daily update to DAS Design Manager on progress and raise issues swiftly
• Update DAS project managers and co-ordinators as required
• Request test equipment and materials required for site surveys
• Complete any Handover Packs, Post Integration Reports and Design Reports on agreed timescales and report templates
• Provide estimated effort and resources required for particular tasks
• Updating any internal reporting system as required.
• Familiarisation of all company documentation in relation to In-Building DAS, especially ISO procedures.

Key Skills:

• Experience of in-building / indoor solutions / special coverage designs with iBwave
• Experience with TEMS investigation, NEMO
• Experience of CW Testing
• Experience of producing detailed design reports
• Ability to communicate technical details to a non-technical audience
• High degree of accuracy and organisation skills
• Clean driving licence
