Job summary

A local housing provider is seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Inspector to carry out property inspections, diagnose issues, and oversee repair projects. This full-time temporary role is vital for ensuring homes meet safety and legislative standards. Ideal candidates will possess strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, be able to manage multiple inspections, and have excellent report writing skills. The position is based in Braintree, England, and offers up to £250 per day.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within the building maintenance or housing sector, including inspection of domestic properties.
• Strong working knowledge of housing disrepair legislation.
• In-depth understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
• Ability to manage high volumes of inspections.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed property inspections and diagnose damp and mould issues.
• Specify remedial works and manage repair projects.
• Complete post-inspection checks for compliance.
• Investigate overcharging by contractors.
