LiveWest Homes Limited is seeking a Damp and Mould – Remote Diagnosis Technician to deliver remote fault diagnostics using TechSee. The role focuses on remote inspections, safe solutions and excellent customer service across Exeter and surrounding areas.

You will work in a hybrid pattern, balancing field knowledge with remote diagnostics, ensuring compliance with health and safety and data protection while upholding LiveWest values and customer care standards.

About The Role

At LiveWest, we are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Damp and Mould Technician to join our Remote Diagnosis team. Using cutting-edge video software (TechSee), you will help customers resolve damp and mould issues in their homes—virtually and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality technical fault diagnosis and maintenance support using virtual tools.
• Use TechSee software to inspect and diagnose basic building faults remotely.
• Provide effective, safe, and regulation-compliant solutions that meet customer expectations.
• Act as a professional and friendly ambassador for LiveWest, ensuring excellent customer care.
• Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety policies and data protection regulations.
• Uphold LiveWest’s values and behaviours in every interaction.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis; working on average 40 hours per week following a work pattern of:
Winter: October to March = 44 hours per week
Summer: April to September = 36 hours per week.

This role will be covering the Exeter and surrounding areas.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Damp and Mould – Remote Diagnosis Technician, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role and the following role specific skills and experience:

• Strong IT skills and confidence using new technology.
• Post qualification experience in core trade or surveying.
• Practical experience of working in the construction industry and or in the social housing sector.
• Ability to diagnose basic building faults.
• Clear and demonstrable knowledge of Health & Safety legislation pertaining to the construction industry including HHSRS.
• Knowledge of responsive maintenance, condensation, damp and mould.

Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in a trade background or surveying (or equivalent).
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Desirable: Health and Safety qualification or experience (SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
• Desirable: CIH course level 2, 3, 4 or equivalent.

This role can be demanding, challenging and ultimately very rewarding. No two days will be the same. This role is suited to people who remain calm under pressure, good at problem-solving and have excellent interpersonal skills, with an empathetic nature.

In this dynamic role, you will manage customer interactions across multiple channels, including phone, email and video software (TechSee). You’ll need to remain calm in stressful situations, demonstrating both compassion and empathy while effectively resolving customer concerns. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver high-quality homes and services to our customers.
