Job summary

FarmWell is seeking a highly enthusiastic herdsperson to help run a dairy farm in the South Lakes region, milking 300 cows. The role involves maximizing milk yield from grazed grass, working with a 24:48 HB parlour, and managing data on grass wedge.

A senior or 2IC candidate is possible, with accommodation provided and a competitive salary with bonuses. You should have previous dairy farm experience, be highly motivated, able to think independently, and adapt to paddock grazing schedules

• Previous experience on dairy farms.
• Very enthusiastic and versatile with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Help run the farm and maximise milk from grazed grass.
• Maintain high care standards and adapt to weather-driven grazing schedules.
• Work with the 24:48 HB parlour system and feed management.
• Input and monitor grass measurements and data in the farm software.
