Job summary

Agricultural and Farming Jobs in Pembrokeshire is seeking a Dairy Herd Manager to oversee day-to-day herd welfare, milk production and performance analysis, using data to drive improvements. You will lead a farm team, oversee calving, fertility and health, and drive adoption of robotics and data-led management in a progressive dairy enterprise with family accommodation and a competitive salary.

Experience with herd management software and Power BI is valued, along with strong leadership,

Qualifications

Strong practical dairy farming and herd management experience.
Experience with calving, fertility and herd health management.
Confident working with herd performance data, KPIs, facts and figures.

Responsibilities

Manage the dairy herd to high standards of animal welfare and husbandry.
Monitor and improve milk production, fertility, herd health and longevity.
Oversee calving, youngstock development and colostrum management.
Analyse herd KPIs, performance data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Utilise herd management software and robotic milking data to support decision-making.
Support the implementation and optimisation of robotic milking technology.
Lead, support and develop members of the farm team.
Promote high standards of Health & Safety across the dairy operation.
