Job summary

The Holstein UK Group's Cattle Information Service (CIS) is seeking a permanent Area Manager to cover Devon and Cornwall. This home-based role travels regularly to support customers and Milk Recorders, delivering high-quality field services.

Lead and mentor a team, ensure training and health and safety compliance, manage budgets, and collaborate with the Head of Field Services to drive performance. Flexible hours, early mornings and evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of farming and the dairy industry.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field services within the area.
• Identify issues affecting data quality or operations.
• Inform Head of Field Services of internal/external issues.
• Promote CIS services and products.
• Ensure processes are reviewed and streamlined.
• Support milk recorders with training and resources.
• Coach and mentor staff to improve performance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Manage spend within budget and reduce costs where possible.
• Process milk recorder monthly payments.
• Maintain timely and accurate customer records.
