Job summary

WeDoTech in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced D365 Finance Programme/Project Manager for a 12-18 month contract, with hybrid working in Sussex. The role focuses on delivering a business-led D365 Finance implementation, with strong client-side governance and change management required.

You will partner with Finance and Technology leaders to ensure adoption, benefit realisation and tangible outcomes, managing an external partner and keeping the business ownership firmly in place.

D365 F&O Project/Programme Manager | Contract | Outside IR35 | £600/day

Sussex - hybrid, averaging ~3 days per week on-site

We're supporting a well-established UK business as they kick off a major Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementation, and are looking for an experienced D365 Finance Programme/Project Manager to lead the programme from the client side.

This is a genuine business transformation rather than simply a technology implementation. The organisation has a traditional finance environment and recognises that change management and business adoption will be critical to successfully landing D365.

The programme will be heavily supported by an implementation partner, so a major part of the role will be providing strong client-side leadership, governance and challenge — holding the partner to account while ensuring the business retains ownership of the programme.

The role will include:

• Leading the D365 Finance implementation from the client side
• Owning programme governance, Steering Committee engagement and senior stakeholder management
• Managing and challenging the implementation partner against scope, milestones, quality and outcomes
• Driving business readiness, change and adoption across Finance and the wider organisationWorking closely with senior Finance and Technology stakeholders
• Coordinating activity across multiple trading entities and a geographically distributed business
• Ensuring the programme remains focused on business outcomes rather than simply technical delivery

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong experience leading D365 Finance / D365 F&O implementations
• Proven client-side ERP programme or project leadership experience
• Experience managing and challenging major Microsoft implementation partners/SIs
• Strong Finance process understanding across areas such as AP, AR, GL, purchasing and invoicing
• Excellent senior stakeholder and Steering Committee management skills
• A strong track record of business change and adoption
• The confidence to provide structure, challenge and direction in an organisation going through significant change

The business is based in Sussex, and while there is flexibility, this isn't a remote programme. We're looking for someone comfortable being on-site around 3 days per week on average, with additional presence when the programme requires it.
