Job summary

NSFT in Ipswich is offering a Band 6 Child and Young People’s Psychological Therapies Trainee Practitioner post. This NHSE-funded one-year programme combines academic study with clinical placement across CAMHS, with supervision and a UCL/Anna Freud pathway.

The role starts January 2027, with 37.5 hours per week, based mainly in Ipswich and travel to London for teaching during the training year. Salary £39,959–£48,117 per year, fixed-term 12 months.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent is required.
• Core mental health practitioner qualification or KSA route required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and youths under supervision.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary CAMHS team to plan care.
• Attend weekly teaching and supervision as part of training programme.
• Support carers and families and complete clinical documentation.
